Kling AI: the most photorealistic
Kling holds first place in ELO benchmarks and it earns it, particularly on human movement. Walking, gesture and facial motion come out closer to real footage than anything else here.
At $6.99/mo for the first month it is also the cheapest entry to commercial-use AI video - but that’s a welcome price, not the real one: Standard renews at $8.80/mo.
With Kling 3.0 Omni, it now generates native audio too - synced dialogue, effects and a consistent character voice across scenes - closing one of its biggest gaps against PixVerse. The catches that remain are real, though: support is widely reported as unresponsive, and only around a third of prompts produce a usable result first time, with failed attempts billed the same as good ones.
PixVerse: the fastest
Under 60 seconds per clip, with native audio and lip sync included. That combination makes it the practical choice for anyone producing social content at volume, where the number of attempts per hour matters more than the last 10% of realism.
Watch the resolution tiers: 1080p starts at the Pro plan, and the $8 Standard tier caps at 720p.
Its real-time worlds line also moved on: R2, unveiled in September 2026, keeps sessions coherent for much longer, remembers what happened earlier in the same session, and takes text, reference images, audio and action controls into the same running world.
Vidu: the most consistent with characters
Vidu’s Reference Consistency is the best in the group for keeping the same face, outfit and product across shots. We tested this ourselves and found something useful: one reference photo was enough. Running the same prompt with one and two references produced results that were hard to tell apart.
Its Q3 model reaches 16 seconds with native audio, the longest single generation of the three.

In September 2026 ShengShu added S2 (S2-Avatar and S2-Editing), pushing its real-time output resolution from S1’s 540p up to 720p, plus live editing of an incoming video stream.
Which one to choose
For photorealism on a budget: Kling. Nothing else gets human movement this right, and even at the $8.80/mo renewal price it’s hard to argue with.
For volume and speed: PixVerse. Sound included, clips in under a minute, and enough attempts to actually land the shot.
For a recurring character or a real product: Vidu. Feed it one photo and it holds identity across generations better than the other two.
If you are still deciding: all three have free plans. Vidu’s has no watermark restrictions comparable to PixVerse’s, Kling’s blocks commercial use. Generate the same prompt in each and the choice usually makes itself.
